Musée Légitime

Two sculptures made from Fimo, a polymer clay that hardens when baked in a domestic oven, were fired by the artist in her kitchen. The resulting forms evoke pieces of ham, inspiring a poem that accompanies the work. Whenever the sculptures are exhibited, the artist requests that the poem be read aloud:

Jugando creé jamón cervecero./

Como no le puse intensión no tiene sabor./

Aún así fue bastante impresionante,/

para que de su aparición se renovara mi fe/

en las posibilidades impredecibles./

Eso la hace una perfecta estampita religiosa/

para habitar bolsillos de chaquetas.
