One ceramic piece from the artist’s series The Right to Be Forgotten. Through photography, ceramics, and storytelling, this installation documents the methodical clearing of Berentsen’s parental home following the death of her mother and father. By presenting these items across three different material forms, the works echo and respond to one another. Berentsen’s process transforms everyday objects into vessels of both remembrance and release. The project engages a collection of seemingly useless items that once shaped the contours of lived lives, like a mother applying hand cream before slipping into her pajamas.
